My first year in office

Has it been a year already? I have learned so much in the past year and hope that continues. I am still learning when it comes to proper parliamentary procedures, but to be honest, it’s hard to be patient with all the formality even while I recognize the importance. I am also still learning about all the city business and it’s a lot. I never knew about sludge cake or NOACA or what it takes to buy an ambulance. There is a long list of things I didn’t know about how to run a city! You just can’t believe what you take for granted…

I am very proud to work for the city of Rocky River. The Mayor, Council and the entire city government is a testament to good governing. I am grateful for the leadership and the hard work of all the people who make it happen. From our excellent and super-woman Mayor Bobst, to the first responders, to the city services, this town really does an amazing job of keeping the residents happy and satisfied.

I feel like I have started to make a difference for good, which was my main motivation for running and now serving on City Council. And nothing’s more gratifying than having an idea and seeing it through. If you have ideas, let me know, let’s get good things happening! I can speak for the city when I say we welcome your involvement and ideas.

Additionally, I encourage everyone to please attend a meeting or two. Understand how city government is working FOR you, so you can have trust in the people you’ve elected. This is especially easy now that the meetings are available via ZOOM.

I am honored to serve Rocky River and as I continue with my term, I want you to know I am here for you, willing and able to listen, find answers to questions and advocate for the city and its residents.
