Homecoming!

Homecoming Friday night! For a full list of festivities and tickets, see the school website

It’s also Constitution Week, and there’s a parade on Saturday to celebrate. Read more about Constitution Day at the Daughters of the American Revolution Website

The mayors report was full of great information this week as usual. You can read about it Thursday when the minutes are posted, but for the sneak preview:

  • Christenson Estates and West River will be offered free trees for their laws thanks to the tree canopy project. River will continue to plant the right trees in the right places on tree lawns!
  • Rocky River will participate in the Heritage Home Loan Program beginning in 2025, low interest loans and advice on updating homes older than 50 years.
  • The Senior Center has become very active in a regional Trivia contest and host twice a month on Fridays.

In the legistlation department, we passed a change to the city code that states no one may smoke or vape on public property. Not even on the sidewalk. Go home and smoke!!

We discussed the new Fire Station at a high level, but lots of details are being planned.

October 7th will be a public hearing to legislate the approval of the new zoning map.

That and more in the minutes on Thursday!
