Safety Town Celebration Friday

Hey all the meeting tonight was eventful and short.

We had a swearing in ceremony for two new Firefighters, Martin Rehor and Frank Parente. We then had our public hearing on changing out the official zoning map. There was little commentary but definite confusion about this. Hopefully it’s clear now, this is an administrative move after we did the rezoning earlier in the year. It’s past due, so I’m happy we can move forward to have an up to date official map!

The biggest even this week is the Safety Town Celebration this Friday, 1 – 3 pm  Safety Town Village, located at 21018 Hilliard Blvd.

Casual celebration to thank all those who helped create this incredible resource for our community!

New legislation included a roof repair for the Waste Water Treatment Plant, some changes to the way we are allowed to access NOPEC as our gas supplier, and new fencing for the baseball fields at Elmwood Park (really need those!)
